The procedure
Your skin will be cleansed and prepped before the therapist guides the Dermapen micro-needling technology smoothly over the target area to deliver vertical micro-channels into the skin in an almost pain-free treatment. It has minimal downtime, minimal discomfort and creates minimal skin damage. With adjustable depths and speeds, the treatment is tailored to suit your skin for great results and allows the dermaceutical products applied to absorb deeper into the skin. After the needling is complete, a soothing mask is applied.
After the treatment, you will notice redness to the skin. The total healing time depends on the depth of penetration and the number of overlapping passes performed.
On average, patients experience redness for a few hours, in extreme cases up to 48 hours. The vast majority of patients heal completely in 24 hours and recommended post-treatment products will aid the healing process.
Even after 1 session, patients notice an immediate glow and softening of the skin’s texture. Further visible changes to the skin develop over the course of several weeks. Some patients may only require a single session once a year; however, dependent on your skin concerns, we recommend the following treatment regime for the best results:
